Great little camera at a good price

Purchased the camera to monitor the patio doors leading to my rear garden. Because of the distance the camera can cover and wide angle of view, It also managed to monitor the area around my shed. I tested the camera in daylight and it worked fine. I later tested it once it went dark and the camera sensor picked me up in the dark and the spotlight turned on so it changed from black and white and started to record in colour which is great. The washing blowing in the wind gave false triggers but I simply eliminated that area in the alarm management section under humanoid detection. You simply fill in the squares on the image that should only pick up movement which is a great feature. I purchased an SD Card for storage. I haven't made my mind up about signing up for subscription storage for the moment.
I installed the camera in about 15 minutes once I had fully charged the battery. Set was easy and connecting to my WiFi was simple following the on screen instructions in the app. It lacks the ability to zoom in but it's coverage is fine for my rear garden.

It says it in the instructions, but still surprised by, how bad the direct-to-camera motion detection actually is; side to side is excellent but direct-approach detection is almost non existent. Camera battery use is excellent but when connected to the app, the phone eats it's battery really quickly; EzViz is so much better.

What do you do when upgrading from wired cctv to wireless? You go for ieGeek of course!
Was looking for Wi-Fi cameras to swap for our wired set (having the outside walls and French windows changed so had to change the cctv. Looked on Amazon for inspiration and found myself looking at ieGeek products. They have cameras for all prices. I chose something a little up from the cheapest, thinking they would ‘do for the time being’, but they turned out better than that. When my partner saw they could be used with the ieGeek solar panels, we HAD to get those too.
Once they arrived I installed the app (from the App Store for iPhone), added the devices to the app, drilled holes and mounted the cameras in the correct position, and that was it! Simple!
There are all sorts of things you can use via the app, turning on and off Motion Detect is fantastic - if your working outside you don’t need an alarm all the time. The light and loud speaker are both great, as is the microphone - it’s so easy to hear people (sometimes too easy if there are people in there gardens, but also very easy to turn off).
All in all they are fantastic cameras for the price, as are the solar panels.
And we are so happy with the app, we’ve also bought one of the ieGeek front door bell/cameras. Can’t wait to install that too!

My first impression after unboxing was how small and solidly made the device is. Very neat.
The connection to Wi-Fi is clearly explained in the well written manual and simple to do. While the device was on charge, I downloaded the APP using the QR code and noted the SSID and password of my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router.
The APP also takes you step by step through the quick setup and minutes, I was seeing the camera view on my phone screen.
I was amazed how well thought out the product is, when I explored the range of settings available in the APP. I tried to imagine the different ways this device might be used and provided you follow the guidance in the manual, you won’t be disappointed.
One use I have for the camera is my back yard. There is no Wi-Fi there. The solution is to use a mains-plug type Wi-Fi extender to my existing power supply in the yard.
Note, when out of your Wi-Fi range, you can still manage the camera using your phone data. The switch is automatic if that is how you set your phone. It will consume your data allowance.
Because the audio worked so well, it can also be 2-way, the small size of the device made it unobtrusive, making it a great spy camera or baby monitor. There is a delay between the sound, and it being heard of about a second. It would be longer with a weak Wi-Fi signal. The delay prevents the howl of acoustic feedback. It becomes an echo.
Because of the wide-angle lens, there is excellent visual coverage in the clear, sharp picture. Some barrel distortion is to be expected in the image. The camera copes faultlessly with the range of daylight to dusk lighting. Of course, there is a built-in light for complete darkness, and you can switch to black and white from colour for increased image clarity. I couldn’t find any timer setting that would make the switch for you.
An interesting feature that I haven’t seen with other cameras is the Artificial Intelligence filtering you can choose to switch on in settings, so only humans are detected. Anything else like cars, pets, swaying tree branches can then be ignored and won’t trigger an alarm. What a great idea! It also has the typical, less sophisticated, PIR detector that other cameras and security lights have. Belt and braces detection.
In settings, you can also define a particular region of the scene that detects movement. For example, you might only want the activity at a specific doorway to be triggered in an otherwise busy scene.
If you have several of these cameras to monitor different areas or rooms, this is easily handled for you by the app. Different users can also be specified so the monitoring can be shared. I haven’t seen any other consumer setups do this.
I wondered what SD cards would be suitable. I only have cards that record 4K and the camera is only 2K or HD so any quality card that can record 4K won’t be a waste of money. A 16Gb card could hold either 10,000 photos OR about 12 hours of video with sound. Typically, a video clip might be about 10 seconds long unless you change the setting. I discovered that when the card is full, the recording writes over the earliest recording.
The device is designed to be totally weatherproof as you would expect, the switches, SD card socket and charge point are sealed in with a tight fitting, removeable rubber bung.
The simple swivelling fixing bracket should allow you to fix easily and orientate the camera perfectly. There is even a setting to rotate the image 180 degrees if necessary.
I quite like the idea of a bright warning light being activated, only at night, to warn off intruders. Almost as satisfying as telling them, over the device’s loudspeaker, to clear off! If you choose, you can set the device to emit a siren sound. A brilliant response if you are in an isolated area, away from neighbours.
I haven’t been able to measure the battery life, but it drops about 1% per day in my less active environment. If you constantly monitor the action, as you would expect, your phone battery runs down much quicker.

I've had these camera's up for around 5 days now, and cant rate them highly enough..
Installation was super easy and super quick, the camera's were up and running in minutes..
The picture quality is superb.. Im using the standard definition in my rear garden and the picture quality is still very good, then im using the QHD setting on the front of my house and this is crystal clear..
At night the picture is also unbelievably clear, and the fact that a floodlight kicks in if motion is detected and then the camera goes in to full colour mode is a great feature.
The app is super user friendly and the ability to set detection zones is really useful and very easy to do
Im also using a 64gb SD card, after 5 days its captured a fair bit of footage but has only used a few mb of memory, based on this a 64gb card is more than adequate for a few years footage i estimate
All in all i would definitely recommend these camera's to anyone

Great overall design, excellent build quality and good concientious customer support.
I ordered x3 ieGeek cameras. The ZS-GX1S, ZS-GX2S & ZS-GX3S. I use the ZS-GX1S & ZS-GX2S to monitor my front door & drive including an EV charge point. And I use the ZS-GX3S as a general portable camera for use at various locations inside and out, the idea being I can also use it as a baby monitor when my grandson is staying over, for which it is excellent. By the way I also bought the Joby JB01505-BWW GorillaPod 325 Tripod which works great with the ZS-GX3S especially when being used as a baby monitor. All the ieGeek cameras have excellent functionality and so far they have performed flawlessly. Customer relations are great and very responsive. In all I am very please with my purchases and I can thoroughly recommend ieGeek cameras for overall design, build quality and customer support.

We looked through a lot of similar products before choosing this camera. We wanted something that would be able to be placed above our front door, only go off when a person was actually nearby (not cats!), and was viewable from a phone.

This has everything we were looking for, was easy to set up and we've had no issues so far (three weeks in). You can adjust the sensitivity which is handy. You can view it live and short recordings of previous notifications. If you get an SD card you can store them on there.

Overall very happy, does what we wanted and I haven't had to charge it yet!

After first needing to make adjustments to the sensitivity and selecting the most appropriate options, the ieGeek camera is exactly what I need. Please note that although the camera’s battery life is exceptional, it is obviously based on the amount of movements it picks up. As my car is parked on the street and I needed the camera to cover it, every movement near the car as people walked past, is triggered. The ‘Alarm management’, ‘Alert plan’ and ‘Alarm area’ are great features that can save battery life, but for me, the simple addition of a solar panel maintains the battery and now I no longer need to charge the unit.

I had my doubts at first I will admit many diffrent cameras returned , but not this one I love it easy to install up an running in minutes, the app a bit fiddly to go around but works well with the camara I added a solar panel as it is to high up and did not want to get the ladder out to recharge it, just one word of advice when you are up the ladder use the app to make sure it is charging via the panel I did not and had to get the ladder out again my mistake lead not pushed in far enough
All in all I think for a static camara I am over he moon in fact I have just brought the ptz version I will leave feed back once its up and running the picture quality is good night vision is not the best but excellent for the price

Great little Camera for the price. Extremely easy to install as no wires. Great video and sound quality streamed to my phone.
I've had it up by the front door for 3 weeks and the battery is still over half. I probably access it 3 times a day.
What I especially love is the amount of customization. For example, the security light comes on at night. This was a lovely little feature as I work and come home during the night, and the auto night light is perfect.
Would definitely recommend and will probably be buying more to go round the rest of the house.
