Arrived as shown in the photographs and therefore unusable, fit only for the bin. It doesn't warrant any stars but has to be given 1. I cannot use it so cannot judge the smell, or how long it lasts. It is not possible to return for a refund as it is marked 'item cannot be returned'. All goods sold must be of merchantable quality, so this is surely against my statutory rights? I see that the item has increased in price by 25% overnight. Was £20, now £25. How do you get to speak to someone at Amazon to sort this out, it's impossible. Be warned.

I purchased this Yankee quite persuaded by the 175 positive reviews and via another site which also rated the same scent in a top ten list.
This scent is so subtle I had to make a real mental effort to pick up anything.
At 58 I am quite a late convert to Yankee Candles. I purchased six large 22oz as a Christmas gift for a lifelong friend, and has always loved candles with a strong aroma. So I made a duplicate order on the large size and the first I tried Christmas Garland blew me away - soon I got the bug and started ordering with enthusiasm, and assumed that I would love the aroma of all Yankee's
Well I soon came down to earth, So far I have tried 41 different aromas and for me it has been much more MISS than HIT.
Then I thought it was a terrific idea to order a set of 18 samplers assuming I would at least find some good scents - of the 18 just ONE excited me Lemon Lavender.
Fortunately I have been able to sell the large jars sampled so far on another site - declaring as lit for two hours.
Then I decided to do some research, The customer reviews here have been useful and other feedback sites/blogs found elsewhere.
I then created a table of Yankees and focused on the top rated.
Quite a number of top rated just did not inspire me at all - of the 41 scents tested on just 6 are on my repeat order list!
Subtle background scents are NOT for me - I want a scent that has WOW factor.
Of course this is all subjective and obviously I am in a clear MINORITY when my search is for Yankees with Pizzazz.
Of the 41 tested here so far are MY personal faves - 1st Position: Spiced Orange ( a rare lucky dip when I was attracted to the name ) then in no particular order: Brownie Delight, Christmas Garland, Icicles, Lemon Lavander.
My Search Continues!

I received this item today and it was broken. It is now unusable and I am told I cannot return it. It is a scandal. If a product is unusable the buyer should get a refund. Do not waste your money as I have wasted mine. This was meant as a present. I am a pensioner I cannot afford to throw money away. Amazon, so something constructive and look after your customers.

Does not smell at all as I expected. I usually get a real Christmas tree but not this year. Hoped the smell would remind me but it’s not nice at all. Smells like cheap fruit sweets. Had to blow it out!! Shame

I’m sure this product is perfectly good but I’ll never buy one of these again online.
Completely inadequate packaging meant that on arrival, the glass jar was smashed and the candle unusable. Unsuspecting customers beware - open very carefully.
