Cute design but took a couple of days to set up different things for my 7yr old grandson i.e the stories & music available to him, connecting speaker on just the dot, so not every tv & alexa device on my account was saying my orders 😂 telling my husband to turn his tv off at 7.30pm was an amusing lesson! Other than that he & I love it.

Wanted it to read audiobooks. Luckily I had purchased many already for it to read aloud. The free kids+ books are not there.
Will not skip shuffle or ask for specific nursery rhymes because I need the music subscription.
I also wanted to register my voice so that I could be voice recognised as an adult and not hear 'you need to ask an adult to do this' so I cannot be recognised to use control smart plugs and lights. It didn't play my dinner ready message which is still hanging somewhere in the system. It's odd that it costs more and has less.
I tried to delay the free subscription but was forced to activate it. Subscription doesn't stack. Lost 1.5 years so far.
Its cute but I should have bought an older one and saved a load.

Was pretty easy to set up.
Turning some of the functions on and off takes a while to find in the app at first but once you get used to it it's ok. We got the light bulb too which the kids love changing colour of.

I bought this for my children as they love listening to Amazon music on our front room device. Sadly as this is in a kids profile you are unable to link your Amazon music to the device and they can only listen to kids radio. It’s sad to see as you can link Spotify or Apple Music to them but I don’t have subscriptions to them. Seems weird Amazon would not allow their own service to work on their own device.

Otherwise the item itself works great for audio books and answering questions they may have.

I needed to renew my kids+ subscription at £38 for the year. This was £36 with a year's subscription included. No brainer really! I have set one of my echo shows to kids settings but as this doesn't have a screen I decided to reclaim the show and put this in my son's room. If you spend a bit of time exploring the app and researching you can do a lot with it. My only gripe with it is that you don't seem to be able to set a volume limit. I can turn it down with my phone but then my kid turns it up again.
My kid isn't old enough for a phone but if I'm out he can message or call me via this device. I can check on the app what he's doing with it and what he's asking it etc. He listens to stories at bedtime and the parental controls are fab. It can be made inactive and you can limit how much time is spent on it. Well worth the price I paid. Don't think I'd pay full price though.

Got this for my 8 year old daughter for Xmas, she's gone from my little girl to listening to rave music in her room over night 🤣🤣🤣 she absolutely loves it, uses it on a daily basis and definitely worth the money. Great sound quality for little speaker 🔊
