Been a fan of ring products since they came out, this tilt and pan camera system is excellent in "almost" every way, the only fault I can find is, you cannot secure the actual camera unit to the base, you can secure the base to the mounting bracket by security screws, but the camera can be twisted off the base.

The pan/tilt is fantastic for those hard to reach areas where you want to put a camera.
You have to set the "home position" and the motion zones but if you are watching live view you can move the camera around as easily as you like.
The camera does return to the pre-set home position after live view ends but it is easy to reset a/r

You can manually move the camera, but there's not means to set it to either sweep back and forth automatically, or to follow motion/people. I'm not sure what I was expecting but Ring is usually more feature rich than this. It seems a bit... pedestrian for the money.

I’m going to try to explain how this thing works in an attempt to save others wasting their time. Other reviewers have tried to do so, but it wasn’t until I bought this and found it was useless for me, that I understood what they were saying.
Firstly, the lump you see on the top of the mount is actually “battery pack” shaped and simulates a battery in order to provide power to the camera. So, if you have a “Ring Indoor” camera, forget it. The Ring indoor camera is mains only and has no ability to accept a battery and by implication, this mount.
Secondly, if you have a “Ring Stick up” cam, it must have a mains plug, because none is supplied with this mount.
So, if you bought a “Ring Stick up Battery” cam, forget it, or be prepared to invest in a suitable mains connector.
Now, I can’t comment on the quality or performance of this item, because I was never able to install it for the reasons given above.
At least the always excellent “Amazon return” service salvaged the situation.
