Does what it's supposed to and so I can't really complain, but I'll give it a go:
There is an assumption when you buy this doorbell that you already have a doorbell with existing wiring, which I don't, and I doubt many people do. So straight up you have to buy an adapter, which is a plug with some wire, which, for obvious money making reasons, is expensive.
There is also the assumption that you have your phone stuck to you at all times with all notifications on and the sound belting out to know that someone is in fact ringing your doorbell. "That's not great", you say, but wait you can, yep, buy a "chime" that you can plug in. And yes, it's expensive. Nevermind that my previous doorbell cost £5 and had a plug in chime as standard, this one is ~£20 just for the chime plug.
So far, that's the doorbell, the adapter, and the chime. Now you need the subscription to keep all the features, which seems reasonable, but is still £40 a year for a single device. Every year, at least while your device is supported.
So I've shelled out all this cash, I've got the subscription, but now whenever someone rings the doorbell they hear the god awful "Ring ringtone", basically the advert for Ring whenever anyone comes to my house. And you can't change it. You can change all your internal chimes and notifications on your devices, but not the sound the device itself makes. Why?
So does it work? Yes. Am I happy? Not really.
