4.0 out of 5 starsInexpensive, but Refillable is questionable.

These pens are very good value. They write clearly - a definite line with no blobs. I found no scratchiness, other than 'feedback' from the paper, and I like that. They are as comfortable to hold as I would wish. The big letdown is the claimed Refillable. The pen does not unscrew. There is no cartridge to replace. Eventually I resorted to the method I use for refilling non-refillable rollerball pens.
Using pliers, I pulled out the ball unit. Look at the photo. Be careful to pull it out straight, so that you don't snap the long fragile feed.
My daughter is arty, and goes through pens quickly. I have a small collection of non-refillables which I refill for her regularly. It can be messy, and how much ink (fountain pen ink) to use is guesswork. I thought these would ease the job, but no. It is no different. If you are not good with your hands then don't try it. Apart from removing the ball unit and feed, you'll have to use a syringe to put the ink in without seeing any level. Do it slowly, and put back some ink as soon as you see it at the top. If you don't do that then there will be a mess when you re-introduce the ball unit. Don't imagine that the barrel is full of ink. If the barrel is not clear and there is no level indicator then expect only the first inch to contain ink.
What I've described to you here is the standard method for filling non-refillables. It doesn't always work, but it does with these pens. I'm a bit disappointed, but the pens are a quarter of the price for similar pens.
