Just brilliant!

Fabulous piece of kit. Great value for money. Robust and actually quite stylish for what it is. Straight-forward to set up and works like a dream. I use mine inside my home but got it knowing that I can shift it outside, either here, or elsewhere if I ever move house, should the need arise. I have a 5G mobile broadband, plug-and-play internet hub and had no problems whatsoever getting connectivity. (Admittedly, I did research online to check that the 5 GHz hub would support 2.4 GHz before getting it.) I am seriously considering buying another one. The phone App caters for up to four of these puppies! (BTW, the best priced 5G mobile hubs are outstanding! No landline, no ethernet cables, no waiting for engineers. Took less than 5 minutes to get up and running from unpacking the box and inserting the SIM card. An online ping test returned a download speed of 242 mbps!)

The camera is very good and can be rotated for different angles of view using the app so no fiddling around.
Big negative power supply is hard wired on this as such power for some uses as you only get about 1mtr with no way of extending.

Love it.
It's powered by a USB connection.
What do you do ? Drill a hoe through the wall and plug it in inside your house ?
As its draws a very low voltage this is what we did.
We have one light over our door. A standard flood lighr with motion sensor. The power supply comes fro. 1 wire through a small hole above the door.
We disconeted the light.
We then ordered a single outdoor standard socket with a USB port.
We then attached a standard plug to our flood light.
We the attached the wires from the house to the new outdoor socket .
We then plugged the light into the socket.
We then plugged the camera into the USB port.
It' looks nice and neat and works like a charm

We had electricians in doing other jobs and asked them to do it while they were there thinking it would be difficult. It was so simple, he was shocked how easy it was to install and set up. He went home to order one himself. Great images, inc night view, easy app to use, great little camera. we love it

Have read many reviews and seen the problem connecting to camera to wi-fi, had the same issues and the instructions are poor. however sussed it out - download the Yale View app (developer is Asda Abloy Ltd) which the icon looks different to the one on the instructions in the box. Also had to go in to router settings and switch of the 5GHz channel, the camera then set up straight away and works fine. Have switched back on the 5GHz for other devices and the camera is still connected fine.
Picture quality is very good as is the field of view, the app isn’t the best but you can easily change different settings. So for the price and despite losing a few hours of my life trying to connect to the wrong app it is a great camera

I've had one for about 2 years now, recently bought a second for my mam's house. Image quality is brilliant, my car was broken into in driveway and footage allowed the thief to be identified. No monthly charges for storage, motion detection and records in a loop 24/7 (not just on motion). Couldn't recommend this more highly.

Pretty useless if keeps disconnecting

Not very happy so far.
The camera suddenly disconnects and needs to be rebooted by pressing the reset button under the little plastic cover. The problem with the reset process is that it cannot be done remotely, therefore if you are away from home (let's say on holiday for couple of weeks) you can say bye to your recording. It doesn't even let you access the past recordings when offline.
The troubleshooting offered by Yale says to check the WiFi connection (mine is really strong, to the point that even my neighbour living 50 yards away could pick up the signal) and any obstruction to the signal (none detected).
The camera resolution is quite decent; the motion sensor does trhe job; however, the camera as a whole doesn't fulfill the security duties for which it had designed for. I just find entertaining watching the postman making funny faces at the camera, so more of a toy than cctv.
I've ordered a second camera, same model, though I might return it and perhaps strip the one already installed off the wall and send it back together.
One thing I learned about Amazon reviews is that when people share the same concern, there is clearly something wrong (in this case the App and connectivity).
If you buy a camera working with WiFi, it needs only two things: strong WiFi signal and fully working App/Software. This camera has neither of those.

Like all Yale cameras, the image shows this as non corded. IT IS CORDED. If you’re buying this for outdoors please take note!
I returned mine because I specifically wanted a non corded one for outside

Picture quality is great, FoV is best I've seen so far. Motion detection is a little sensitive, it was picking up mist the other night and recorded a solid 6 hour block of mist swirling infront of the camera. The setup wasn't plain sailing but I got there in the end, the app isn't amazing, but it does all the basics. The siren isn't very loud but I doubt I'll ever be using it.
Would buy another one.
