much smaller than I expected

I bought this as part of a christmas present, I knew it would be small but I wasn't quite prepared for how small it was... in the end as part of a larger gift it didn't really matter but we did have a giggle when I opened the box. Scent is lovely and long lasting as always with geniune Yankee Candle products. I have included a photo of my hand holding the candle so you can have an idea of size.. my hand is an average sized 35 year old woman's hand, if it helps.

Ok so I'm a big fan of Yankee candles, I always have one lit because they last a long time and the scents are nice and strong and this one is no exception, it smells amazing, less like cinnamon and more like anise in my opinion, but both are lovely scents.

The only issue I've noticed with this candle is that it tunnels, no matter what I do.
I use a Yankee Candle Illuma-Lid to not only help prevent drafts but also to help the wax pool evenly across the surface...but this candle just won't...maybe it's just this batch? I don't know but that's how my experience with this specific candle has been.

I do recommend this candle because although it tunnels it's a large tunnel so there isn't a huge amount of wax left on the sides...but I'd prefer if there was none so I get my moneys worth. Maybe you'll have better luck if/when you try this candle!

Great scent, horrible soot

Bought the candle when it was 49% off, great deal. Smell is great, like cinnamon apples, and doesn’t induce a headache like some scented candles. Unfortunately, the amount of soot this candle gives off is unreal. I left it burning for MAX 2 hours yesterday and have once again woken up with soot in my nose. This has happened every time I’ve burnt it, no matter how long. The soot output of this candle is evident when looking at the picture attached, an unbelievable amount collected on the edge of the glass. Considering there’s 160hrs of burn time is it really safe to sell this to people? Particularly if people, like myself, tend to burn it asap after getting it?

That’s it! Another Yankee with no smell on burning! Mind made up - I am converting to another brand called Cheerful Candle as you can smell their candles. I am fed up of spending a lot of money for Yankee Candles to get no smell out of them.

Was so looking forward to this. The scent and the "throw" is spot on. What surprised me is the smoke this candle gives off. It's dreadful. I've tried trimming the wick (even though I was warned this could lead to tunnelling) but it doesn't help. I don't know if this is normal for Yankee candles but, so far, I'm not impressed.

I know it says small size, but for £10 didn't expect this small. I should have checked sizes on site, but wife sent me the link and asked to buy as gift for a friend.
Not need to buy something else too now...
I'd go to a shop, for the price can get bigger candles.

I was really looking forward to this 'Christmas cookie' candle but I got really disappointed when I lit it. It smells of hot sugary milk. The smell is not awfully strong but the room smells as if you were heating up milk in the stove. Not specially nice.

This is an older stock candle and you can tell instantly that the scent has signficantly evaporated off. This does not perform remotely to usual yankee standards. This is not clear on the purchase page that this is clearly an EXPIRED product. The hint of smelll that remails is nice, but it's not to an acceptable quality.

This is my first time ever buying a Yankee candle and honestly, I'm disappointed. As I opened the box i was met with the overwhelming scent of freshly baked sweet vanilla cookies, but when I opened the jar, it barely smelt of anything which is wierd. The lid is so loose it falls off if the candle is tipped, and the candle itself looks bubbled and grey on top 😣 I got this as a gift for my sister for Christmas (yes, I've started Christmas shopping already) but I'm too embarrassed to give it to her.

If this is how Yankee candles are, I wouldn't buy again. Definitely not worth the money, the ones from home and bargain are much better and a fraction of the price!!
