Strong lovely smell and container but....

It's too wide for the single wick. I had to put foil around it to get it to full melt the top on first burn. Not the end of the world but that's where the strong scent works against you. It was too much. However it comes in a lovely pot jar and copper effect metal lid. If it wasn't for the wick versus diameter issue it would be 5 stars.

the wax burns down unevenly which causes some of the wicks to be buried in wax.

even when i can get the wax even, the wicks don't like burning for long. they seem to put themselves out after a while.

i have never had a candle that i have had to baby to keep it lit and will definitely not be purchasing from this company again.

I love Paddywax candles and usually find them to be very high quality. This candle had one wick that tunneled so badly on the first burn that it was under melted wax within 30 minutes. I love the scent, but either this container or the wicks are a problem (or I got a dud). Too bad- smells wonderful but simply not worth the price tag.

The scent of this candle is amazing theres no doubt about that. the scent is absolutely heaven.
but the wax is....too melty?... im not sure? im not a candle professional.... the wick kept burning much quicker than the wax did. i burnt it for only 2 hours or so the first time and it was fine, but the next time i used it my power had gone out for the majority of 24 hours and I had to remove wax from it SEVERAL TIMES (like 4 or 5 times) over the course of 3-5 hours i was burning it because the wick would go out. now,everytime i use it i have to remove more of the wax. this is very upsetting because i feel like im throwing away half the candle and it wasnt cheep. i have another candle of a different brand that i begrudgingly spent $30 on and it doesnt have this problem.... it also doesnt smell as good..... when removing the wax it seems to be very oily and soft... unlike over candle waxes ive encountered. im not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The candle is pretty, but I'm not sure why it has patchouli listed as a scent. It Durant smell like it at all. Not when you open the candle and not when you burn it. The smell is fine, but when you pay this much for a candle you'd expect it to at least have a hint of the smell it says the candle is. I already tried burning it to see if the smell would come through that way or else I'd return it.

We liked the look of the pot but not the copper top, similar to a burial urn. We didn’t like the strong perfume and the price. We donated it to a charity shop. Hopefully someone will consider it a Christmas bargain!
