On paper, this combination sounds like it will produce a very weird smell but in my humble opinion this is, in a word, perfect!
The sweet vanilla is tempered and softened by the smoky tobacco scent. The tobacco part of the equation is a smoky, woody, pipy, ‘raw’ cigar, homely fragrance, but of course closer to the smell before it is lit and being smoked. Definitely no cigarette smell! I love this combination (I also love the linen and cotton type fragrances), vaguely reminiscent of my Uncle’s pipe when I was little.
First bought this in the US, happy to find it on Amazon although it is a little on the pricy side, but for me this beats any other candle from the expensive shops and would make a perfect gift for someone who’s less keen on the floral scents. Beware pale imitations, by the way, Paddywax appear to have nailed it!
