Soft Blanket is a classic Yankee Candle scent, with an aroma that’s reminiscent of a gentle laundry detergent/fabric softener combination. It’s a pleasant smell when the jar is opened, and gives good throw when the candle is lit. I like the twin wick design. The usual rules to avoid tunnelling in the wax apply: make sure the wicks are trimmed, and leave the candle in for long enough for the whole surface layer of wax to liquefy.
The new style of jar is sleeker and less traditional looking than the housewarmer jars. It’s smart and I quite like it. Not, I hope, as a replacement for the classic jars but as an alternative style.
There is one thing about this new style of presentation I am not so keen on: at 567g this new style of jar holds only about 85% of the quantity of wax you get in a classic Housewarmer jar (623g) yet the full RRP is as high.
