Yum. This candle smells amazing, exactly like maple and sweets and pancakes and toffee and yum and caramel and sweets and cakes and yum and.... I'm off the the bakery to buy some cake.

Seriously, its delicious, strong scented and fragrances a large area. The two wicks mean there is no tunnelling and so hopefully no wastage. Visitors comment on it straight away but I feel they are always slightly disappointed you are not going to whip some delicious home baking out of the oven at any moment! I do find this candle stronger than some of the Yankee Candle scents but they all seem to vary so much I couldn't say if this is true of all Village Candles. The only slight oddity is that the next day after burning there is a slightly spicy smell around, like you cooked a curry the night before. Its not unpleasant though and wouldn't put me off buying more.

Incredibly Strong and Yummy Scent

Imagine the scent of freshly prepared pancakes drenched in melted butter and maple syrup... now imagine this scent filling your entire home for hours and hours and hours, with no drop in intensity. This is exactly how this candle feels.
The fragrance is perfectly true to life, only far stronger. The candle has a great throw and due to double wick it creates a perfect wax pool much quicker than Yankee Candle (and the only YK with as strong scent is Chocolate Layer Cake). I know it looks like a knock-off of the YK, but I'd highly recommend giving it a go. The quality of this particular candle is superb and as long as you like sweet foodie scents you will love this one!

One of my favourite scents, rich, buttery, sweet, really does smell like maple syrup on pancakes or waffles, it even reminds me a bit of fairground doughnuts, the ones that are freshly made to order and dusted with caster sugar. I burn this in the kitchen after cooking and it does a great job of neutralising cooking smells even after deep frying!

It is a strong and warming, mouthwatering scent, sweet but not cloying and I like that and like to be able to notice the smell straight away. It has a great 'throw' and will fill the house quickly.

Really lovely smell. Great throw, fills the room pretty quickly. If you love gourmand/bakery kinda smells then this is definitely a good option, although some people do seem to get a curry scent from this, which is common with artifical maple scents (and sometimes after burning I see what they mean) But luckily for me I get more of the sweet maple.

As a Yankee candle lover I came across this make of candle during a trip in Bristol. I didn't buy it at the time and later regretted it. I finally found it on amazon and ordered it straight away. Packaged perfectly, no problems with delivery, it even arrived earlier than expected.
Everyone who has smelt it has loved it and they have a hard time putting it down! It's a lovely sweet maple syrup smell.
Would recommend as a gift or a treat for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

If you would like your house to smell like a bakery, but this candle. Its sweet and soothing smells really reminds you of fresh pancakes coming out of your local pattiserie. Been using this for a year and more and it's still there! Lot of wax to burn so would not dissapoint

The last 5-6 yankee candles I have bought I haven't been able to get a good whiff, of the scent. Having bought a Village candle previuosly (brownie one) I thought I'd try another.
The double wick means there is no tunneling and the scent of this was strong, filled the room. Would reccomend and would buy again

Bought this thinking it was a yankie candle. But very pleasantly surprised. Smells great and very strong can smell it from across the room with out it being lit.
