I have been wanting to try this for a while now, and only just got around to buying. My first one must have got broken in transit as when I checked for a rough delivery time. it was going back to Amazon as something had happened which meant it couldn't be delivered. That was disappointing.
I went back online to re order as Amazon were refunding me. I was a big shocked by the jump in price by about £7 or £8 Amazon kindly re ordered for me at the price I had originally paid. The second arrived nice and early on Sunday morning. Sp didn't have to wait all day like I normally would for delivery.
So here is the thing with this Gin. I would say that it is more Clementine than Orange. That isn't such a bad thing though as this makes this gin different. Neat it is drinkable, slightly sweet, but strong on alcohol in taste, and I couldn't smell anything except alcohol. I am got a great tonic person. I don't really like it so had none to try this with, but it is good with lemonade, diet lemonade in my case. Great fragrance to the gin and again Clementine not Orange was at the front. This is both sweet and bitter.
The Orange seems to come through more as an after taste. The Gin is also slightly sweet with lemonade
so you may get more bitterness from tonic, the juniper is definitely there. Where some Orange Gin goes well with Pepsi, this is ok, but changes it completely, although the clementine fragrance still comes through. It has a more bitter after taste than with lemonade, but it is sweeter. Cola doesn't do anything
for the gin. I am happy to have bought the gin. It is ok, but unlike some others I wouldn't rush out to buy it again, there are better out there. But if you want Clementine instead of Orange definitely one to try,
UPDATE. Whilst this is kind of ok with Pepsi Max. It does go really nice with Vanilla Coca Cola. Really brings the Clementine to the fore.
