Then a new foe pays Elizabeth a visit. Her mission? Kill...or be killed.
As the cold case turns white hot, Elizabeth wrestles with her conscience (and a gun), while Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim chase down clues with help from old friends and new. But can the gang solve the mystery and save Elizabeth before the murderer strikes again?

Richard Osman, can you please write quicker? I need more!!! From the inscription to Ingrid at the beginning, to the thanks to Liesel Von Cat at the end you had my heart in your hands, I can’t wait for number 4 in September!!!
I meant to read the first few chapters and then put it down, but I didn't. Eight hours later I turned the last page and with a sense of 'well I never'.
Great multiple sting-in-the-tail ending. No I am not giving anything away.
If you have read the previous books it is lovely to see how the regular cast have developed in their own ways, and even a bit of intrigue there...
Once again Richard has drawn me in to the point that I quite literally could not put it down - I really should have been doing something else on Bank Holiday Monday - but too good.
I love a book that draws me in so.
Despite the dark material dealt with in the plot, it is done with a light touch and some laugh out loud moments.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who can read.
The new characters are as lovable/scary/interesting as the previous ones. Joyce should have a virtual medal 😀
The story has so many twists and turns, I nearly got car-sick, but I won’t say more than that. Read it yourself and be prepared for some serious entertainment.
to everyone.... the carters are amazing I love Joyce and Elizabeth !! I have encouraged my friends to read them... none has been disappointed !!!
